Meeting: 12PM at Rio & Learn
Cost: R$ 250.00 (includes transportation, lunch and a Festa Junina costume)

Get ready for a unique cultural experience in one of the most charming places in Rio de Janeiro! In this RioLIVE! Weekend, we are going to Paquetá Island for a day full of history, culture, nature and, of course, a traditional Festa Junina celebration.

Paquetá is a peaceful island located in Guanabara Bay, known for its beautiful landscapes, historic buildings and welcoming atmosphere. Since cars are not allowed on the island, visitors can enjoy a slower pace of life while exploring its streets, beaches and cultural attractions.

During this RioLIVE!, we will combine sightseeing, Portuguese practice and cultural immersion. We will walk through some of the island’s most important landmarks before ending the day at a traditional Festa Junina, one of the most beloved celebrations in Brazilian culture.

Discovering the History of Paquetá

Our first stop will be the Main Square of the Bom Jesus do Monte Circuit, where we will learn about some of the island’s most important historical landmarks. From there, we will walk along the waterfront to the famous Caramanchão, located at Tamoios Beach. Besides being a perfect place for photos, it has great historical significance as a traditional gathering place for residents and visitors over the years.

Continuing the tour, we will visit the historic Cannon, a monument that reminds us of Guanabara Bay’s strategic importance during the colonial period and its role in the defense of Rio de Janeiro.

One of the island’s most famous attractions is the “Maria Gorda” Baobab Tree, an impressive tree of African origin that symbolizes the strong influence of African culture on Brazilian society.

We will also visit the historic Pedro Bruno House, the former residence of artist, poet and landscaper Pedro Paulo Bruno. It is considered an important cultural heritage site in Paquetá and reflects the close relationship between art, nature and history.

Festa Junina in Paquetá

After our sightseeing tour, we will head to Paquetá Church, where the island’s traditional Festa Junina takes place. Festa Junina is one of Brazil’s most popular celebrations. Inspired by rural traditions from the countryside, it brings together music, dancing, traditional food, games, colorful decorations and a strong sense of community.

Students will have the opportunity to experience an authentic Brazilian celebration while practicing Portuguese naturally with local residents, visitors and classmates.

Throughout the event, we will learn vocabulary related to traditional festivals, Brazilian food, music, dance and cultural traditions. It will also be a great opportunity to take pictures, record videos and create unforgettable memories.

Why Visit Paquetá During Festa Junina?

Because this experience brings together some of the most important aspects of Brazilian culture: history, tradition, community, music, gastronomy and celebration.

Paquetá offers a completely different perspective of Rio de Janeiro, with its peaceful streets, beautiful scenery and rich cultural heritage. Combined with the joyful atmosphere of a Festa Junina, the visit becomes an unforgettable experience for anyone who wants to discover Brazil beyond the traditional tourist attractions.

This RioLIVE! Weekend is perfect for those who want to practice Portuguese outside the classroom, explore one of the most charming places in Rio de Janeiro, make new friends and experience one of Brazil’s most traditional celebrations.

So put on your Festa Junina costume, charge your camera and come spend an unforgettable day with us in Paquetá!

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
