Do you want to enjoy an afternoon in Rio de Janeiro with culture, nature, Portuguese practice, and fun? In this RioLIVE! Activity, we are going to visit one of the most beautiful outdoor areas in the city: Flamengo Park.
This activity is perfect for students who want to practice Portuguese outside the classroom, meet other students, learn more about Brazilian culture, and enjoy a relaxing picnic with an amazing view of Rio.
Walking by Flamengo Beach
After Largo do Machado, we will walk toward Praia do Flamengo, one of the most beautiful areas in Rio for a walk by the sea.
While we walk, we will learn some interesting facts about this place. Did you know that Flamengo Beach was created in the 1960s with sand brought from other places during the construction of Aterro do Flamengo?
The park around the beach is part of one of the largest urban seaside parks in the world, with gardens designed by Roberto Burle Marx, one of the most famous landscape architects in Brazil.
From this area, we can see some of Rio’s most iconic views: Sugarloaf Mountain, Morro da Urca, and even Christ the Redeemer from one single point.
Of course, we will stop at the viewpoint to take photos and videos. It is a perfect place to enjoy the view, practice Portuguese, and create great memories with your classmates.
Picnic at Flamengo Park
After our cultural walk and photo moment, we will go to a nice area of Flamengo Park for our picnic.
Students can bring something individual or something to share with the group. If you don’t have time to bring food from home, no problem! Before the picnic, students can stop at a supermarket or snack bar to buy something.
This will be a great moment to relax, talk, eat, and enjoy the afternoon together. It is also a perfect opportunity to practice Portuguese in a natural and informal way.
And, of course, we must take care of the place: after the picnic, everyone should collect their trash and help preserve the park.
Games and Fun at the Park
After the picnic, we will have some recreational activities with a ball. Our main game will be queimado, a very popular group game in Brazil.
We will divide the students into two teams and choose a safe space to play. The objective is to have fun, move our bodies, cooperate with classmates, and use Portuguese during the game.
If we have extra time, we can also play:

- Group ball challenges

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
