But how can music fans increase their chances of getting tickets?
It is important to note that tickets are sold exclusively via glastonbury.seetickets.com. So don’t spend a fortune on illegal tickets elsewhere.
When the sale begins, you will be redirected to a waiting page that updates every 20 seconds. The festival recommends using only one tab in your internet browser when attempting to purchase tickets.
If you’re lucky enough to get through, you’ll only have a limited amount of time to enter your details for each ticket and purchase it. So make sure you enter the correct information.
While it can be tempting to buy in bulk so your family and friends can attend, Glastonbury limits the number of tickets per transaction to six.
To increase your chances of getting a ticket, Glastonbury’s website recommends filling out an online registration form, where you’ll need to provide some basic details and a passport photo.
The festival recommends doing this well in advance of ticket sales and having your registration number handy if you attempt to purchase tickets upon release.
You have until October 31st at 5:00pm GMT to submit your application.
